Privacy Policy

What we collect

QO₂ Labs is local-first. Your journal entries, reflections, breathwork sessions, family profiles, and personal scores are stored encrypted on your device. The encryption key is derived from your passcode and never leaves your device in plaintext.

What leaves your device

Only opaque ciphertext blobs (and the metadata required to route them — e.g. your account ID, plan tier, timestamps) are uploaded when cloud sync is enabled. We cannot read your journal contents.

Cookies & browser storage

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We use browser localStorage and IndexedDBto keep you signed in, remember preferences, and store your encrypted vault. A small cookie is used to remember the state of the sidebar.

Analytics

Usage analytics, when enabled, are computed locally on your device. Aggregate, non-identifying counters may be sent to help improve the app — you can disable this in Settings.

Authentication

Sign-in is handled by our backend provider. Your email is used only for account recovery and essential service notifications.

Referrals

Invites are one-level only. We do not upload your contact list. The only data passed is a referral code.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

You can request export or deletion of any server-side records associated with your account by emailingprivacy@qstarfamilylab.com. Local vault data lives on your device — clearing browser storage removes it.

Children

QO₂ Labs is not intended for children under 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction).

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be surfaced inside the app.
